In this course, we will explore the ways creative writing can enhance well-being. We will look at how the regular practice of writing enhances time & space management, appreciation of artistic achievement, productivity and leads to the development of rewarding creative projects both in the home and in the workplace. We will learn how this practice can enrich all aspects of lifestyle while also providing valuable transferable skills. Writing movies and TV scripts is perhaps one of the most exciting areas of creative writing. Do you like the idea of your characters and scenes entertaining audiences on the big or small screen? We will journey through over a century of Irish writing, taking particular note of the development of Irish writing though this period of enormous change. Irish Literature: Time & Times
In this specially designed course we consider several important works of Irish literature through the lens of Time. How does the time application of the story affect the content? What is the difference between story-time and real-time? How do characters interact with their past, presents and futures? By exploring this aspects of each work we come to a fascinating and rich understanding of the layered operation of fine literature. This course is designed for literary enthusiasts, those with a particular interest in Irish literature and culture and those interest in pursuing more formal study. Irish Literature: Poets & Poetry
This exciting new course investigates a series of poets and poetry starting early in the 20th century and working our way up to the present day. Poets featured in this program are George William Russell/AE, Denis Devlin, Derek Mahon, Leland Bardwell, Eavan Boland, Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill, Dylan Brennan and Doireann Ní Ghríofa. The sessions will be supported by a weekly video, several readings of the works and commentary, plus other media where available. The course will be a very enjoyable and rewarding tour of 20th/21st century poetry, with the overarching question of what is Irish Poetry? What has the shape of Irish Poetry been over the past century? Where is it going next? Suitable for enthusiasts of Irish Literature at all levels and those considering study of English at University.

Submitting writing is an incredibly long and arduous process for all writers. Would you be interested in a weekly submissions clinic session? You will definitely submit more work!

During the session, we will also work on submitting to each one of your respective lists. We will review the weekly subs, discuss responses and further submissions strategies as we progress toward getting your work to the readers of the world. The focus of each session will be solely on the submission process. The objective of the clinic is to increase your weekly submissions to industry, whether that is an agent, publisher or magazine editor, thereby significantly increasing the likelihood of publication. Also open to screenwriters & playwrights. I will help you personalise your query, bio and improve your sample where required.
