The bog swamps of The Mackon rise through the winter, slowly sinking the heather and gorse into a perfect flat surface. Tommy steps further towards the centre, ripples widen around him, then they fade and melt away. The novel was published on December 8th, 2021 by Penniless Press.
Now the last of Delia Meade’s children have married and moved away, she decides to tidy up the little room under the stairs, known as the Glory-hole. Amongst the forgotten toys, worn-out clothes and dusty boxes of photographs, Delia travels through happy and sad decades of her time at 109, Bog Road. THE RAINY DAY
Farmers: young and old, cunning, foolish, greedy, generous, talented and forgotten.
