This twelve-week course is designed for new and aspiring writers seeking inspiration and guidance on writing fiction. The course will provide writing exercises and advice on techniques and look at the different elements involved in creating stories, from character to plot, description and voice. Providing gentle feedback, it will give budding writers the chance to explore their ideas and build the confidence to find their own creative voice. Throughout the course we will build the layers of a story, so by the end, writers will have a framework for their own writing project and the chance to begin developing their work with the support of their peers, as well as considering submissions and where to publish work. Designed and delivered by Dr Laura Healy.
